What Is A Small Estate Affidavit?

A small estate affidavit is an effective method of transferring property after someone’s death. However, this tool is often underutilized and should be eliminated prior to proceeding with a different, more costly form of probate.

Further, no court hearing is required – just some paperwork. This cost-efficient form of probate is great for a lot of people. However, only certain estates qualify for the small estate affidavits and there are drawbacks to the small estate affidavit, especially when it comes to real property.

    Bob was a savior at a very traumatic time where I had to probate a family estate. There were some issues that were going to arise if it wasn't handled quickly, and he swooped in and took care of it pronto. I can't imagine having to deal with this without someone so trustworthy on your side.
