Let’s start this off at the beginning.
I live a boring life. I have never done anything wrong. Ever. When I say this, I am not being sarcastic or facetious. I first got drunk at the age of 30. I have never smoked cigarette, let alone marijuana. I don’t do gummies. I don’t drink THC beverages. I said no in the 1980s and I knew I made Nancy Raegan proud of me. Actually, I didn’t ever have to say no because. I was such a nerd, I was never even tempted.
I am a 51-year-old woman with red hair and pale skin. I drive a newer model car. For fun, I sit on my front porch and listen to bird song with my Merlin Bird App on.
I am invisible to the police.
I say this because while I am a good, upstanding, Church-going Texas woman, who fears the Lord, I am horrible at things like, say…getting my inspection sticker renewed. Fixing a burnt-out taillight on my car? Months will go by.
I can go 90mph in a 70mph zone with zero consequence.
They don’t see me.
And on the rare occasion when I do have a police encounter, I smile, and nod and I get let go (with one notable exception where I did not smile and nod but still got let go). I once got stopped in two small towns within an hour of each stop for speeding the result of which were two warnings, and “enjoy your visiting your grandmother ma’am.”
But having practiced criminal law in the Woodlands, Conroe, and Montgomery County on both sides of the courtroom on and off for over 20 years now, I can tell you that my magic does not apply to many, many, people.
I have seen egregious abuses of authority that can alter lives, change careers and devastate families.
I have also seen simple mistakes, and the sad destruction of addiction to do the same thing.
When bad things happen to good people you need and attorney you can trust. And when bad things happen to not so good people—you need an attorney you can trust.
You always need an attorney you can trust.
I am very honored to be working with some of the best legal minds in Montgomery County at GCH Lawyers and we are very ready to be your trusted attorney.
